Starting Nov. 4 through Nov. 10, our very own WLRA radio station will be hosting its annual fundraiser in support of Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn.

The theme is called, To Kill A DJ — which will last throughout the entire fundraising week — To Kill a DJ is a 24/7 radio broadcasting marathon. Where a student enrolled in a radio course would usually DJ a weekly show for three hours, they will now double their airtime to raise funds.
This year, the Promotions Director Liz Anderson has planned additional daily activities outside of the radio station. Among these activities is a Chipotle fundraiser being held Nov. 6 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m at the Chipotle on Weber (253 S. Weber Rd, Romeoville, IL 60446).
Simply mention that you’re supporting WLRA in your order or download and show your cashier the flyer below to donate 33% of the sale to Advocate Children’s Hospital. It’s really that easy!
Donation boxes will also be available at all events during this week. Money can also be donated directly by sponsoring a DJ.
All proceeds received during the week will go toward the Family Assistance Fund at Advocate Children’s Hospital. This fund provides families impacted by the sickness of a child with necessities such as clothes, food, lodging, cab fares and medication for their children.
In the past 18 years, WLRA has raised more than over $100,000, with $5,467.25 raised just last year alone. Flyers, let’s show up, show out and support those going through challenging times. Get your coins together for a great cause and know you are leaving a positive, lasting impact on the lives of others!
