“Born Yesterday” a play directed by Keith White, will be performed from November 15-17 and again from Nov. 21-24. The play will take place right here on campus at the Oremus Fine Arts Center on Route 53, Romeoville.

Evening performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. On November 23, there will be a matinee performance at 3:30 p.m. Lewis students get a discounted ticket of $3 with an ID. Adult tickets are $13, students and senior tickets are $12. The show is recommended for patrons ages 16 and up. The plays run for approximately two and a half hours with a fifteen minute intermissions.
“Born Yesterday”is directed by Keith White, Director of Theatre from Joliet, and will be performed on Nov. 15-17 and Nov. 21-24. It is recommended for patrons 16 years of age and up. Evening performances are 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday matinees are 2:30 p.m. In addition, there is a matinee performance at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 23. Ticket prices are $13 for an adult, $12 for students and seniors. Lewis students pay $3 with an ID. Group tickets are available for parties of 15 or more. Running time of the show is approximately two and a half hours minutes with a fifteen minute intermission.
“Born Yesterday” by Garson Kanin originally premiered on Broadway in 1946 and combined political satire with romantic comedy. It portrays elements of corruption, truth and justice set in Washington, D.C. Lewis’s very own Associate Theatre Professor and Designer Andrew Nelsen will provide set designs of a colorfully and lavishly decorated hotel in Washington, D.C.
